Today is Writer's Workshop. Put your rough draft on your desk as well as the writing graphic organizer.
Questions to ask yourself:
Have I followed the four-part format that Jefferson and Stanton did?
Are my grievances proof that my rights have been violated?
Have I given a clear example for each grievance?
Do I have five different grievances?
Have I used parallelism to present my grievances?
Does my last paragraph contain an ethical appeal. (What have you done to correct the situation?)
Finally, do I have ethical, emotional,and logical appeals?
Proofread:
Watch out for texting, subject/verb agreement, and run-on sentences.
Homework: Finish your rough draft so that you are ready for laptops tomorrow!
