1. understand the rules governing the use of laptops.
2. navigate on the web to our class blog
3. open an account to access our class grade book.
Announcement: Unit 1 Test tomorrow. Vocabulary and poems!Do Now: Fill in all empty seats at the front of the room. Take everything off your desk but a pen or pencil. Get your student ID out to prepare for laptops. We will begin class in 3 minutes.
Laptop Contract: We will review the rules that govern use of these laptops. Listen and read carefully before you sign the contract.
Today's tasks.
1. Open Firefox. 2. Type in the address of our class blog in the address bar.

Notice the "comment" section at the end of each blog.
3. Open a new tab and type the address of our class gradebook in the address bar: www.engrade.com
Click Students .
Click Sign Up: IT"S FREE
Enter your access code ( See Handout ) and click submit.
Click Create an account. ( Your username is first initial, last name. Use your student ID as your password. )
You are now able to see your grade in this class. Click on the link.
