The Proctor's revisited: The noose is up!

 Read the first excerpt on your handout. Focus on the internal conflicts that plague the Proctors and answer the reading questions.  Find the why hidden in the dialogue.

Rebecca Nurse, Martha Corey, and now Elizabeth  are arrested. What are the specific charges?

Why are these charges a double-bind? How can they be proven or denied?

Homework: Answer all of today's reading questions using evidence from the play. ( 50 points)
