Do Now: Read "Blizzard" and underline all of the types of figurative language the poet uses. Be sure to use your margin to identify your examples!
Classwork: Your task today is to read and reread the poem. Use the techniques we have learned this week:
During reading strategies:
1. Connect to the text.
2. Mark the text and use margin notes.
3. Question the text and yourself.
After reading strategies:
1. Read the Multiple Choice questions and highlight key terms. 
2. Eliminate incorrect answers. 
3. Go back to the text to check yourself.
Answer the constructed response question.  
1. Be sure to highlight key terms in the question. 
2. Write your response using our tips for success!
Homework: Roots and affixes test on Monday. Be prepared!
