Do Now: It's Constructed Response Day!
DIRECTIONS:
The question
1.Read the question carefully. What are you being asked to do? How many examples will you need to prove your point?
2. Highlight key information in the question.
3. Define terms in a quick margin note.
Read the text with the CRQ question in mind. Highlight and mark the text for examples that you might use.
Answer the prompt.
Be sure to use the prompt or question in your first sentence.
Define your terms.
Make sure to include the exact number of examples the question is asking for.
Be sure to use: The first example, the second example.
Prove your example answers the prompt or question.
Check your work against the checklist.
Peer Editing: Read the answers to recent CRQ's and decide if they are a
0, 1, 2, or 3. Be prepared to explain your decision.
Homework: Time is runnung out! Finish any outstanding work ( Constructed responses, Caged Bird, The Dentist, etc ) so that you may pass this class!
