Classwork: Declarations of Independence
1. Break-up Letter #1: This letter includes all three types of
persuasive appeals. Label each appeal as it appears in the letter.
2. The Declaration of Independence - Thomas Jefferson.
Each paragraph contains effective persuasive appeals. Annotate each paragraph for vocabulary, tone, and type of appeal.
Homework: Answer the reading
questions using evidence from the text. These are constructed
responses. They require at least three piece of evidence to support your
opinion.
