Do Now: What information do you already have that will help you to create your rent party? What do you still need to research.
Classwork: The Project: Basic Requirements
Your research must include:
1. The specific location of your party - a brief history or description, the exact address, images from that time period. If you are using an apartment, you will need photos of what the room might have looked like in 1935 in Harlem.
2. The time and cost: Remember the time period as well as the jobs of your attendees.
3. The food and drink you will be serving - again, images are required.
4. At least one celebrity guest. You are required to present a brief biography of this guest that explains his/her contribution to the Harlem Renaissance.
5. A look at your guests - images and description of the clothing of this period.
In addition - videos of dances, music, etc. will enhance your project.
Be sure to re-visit our first website for ideas.

You may choose to present your project in the format of your choice: PowerPoint, video, podcast, Google Doc. It's up to you.
Homework: Continue to research and organize your notes.
