Do Now: Define the following terms on your handout:

2. Tone and Mood
3. Metaphor
4. Irony
5. Rhyme scheme - give an example
6. Allusion
Classwork: Poetry.
1. "Landlord" - Langston Hughes.

 We'll be using this poem to review: tone, syntax, rhyme scheme, theme.

2. "Baptism" - Claude McKay.

The focus is on imagery, extended metaphor, and theme. 
Homework: Finish annotating the text for both poems and answer reading questions. Review your definitions for tomorrow's Keystone.
