Do Now: You've just found $50.00 on the street. You intend to use it to pay your phone bill, but then you pass a great sale at Best Buy. Now what?

Read the first three paragraphs and mark the text for  the things Mrs. Sommer intends to buy.
What does "better days refer to in paragraph 4?

Character analysis: We have enough information by this point to begin to analyze Mrs. Sommer.
Underline key example of her personality.
The purchase of the stockings is a catalyst that changes Mrs. Sommers. Once she buys and puts them on, her personaility changes. Mark the text for changes.
